City of Batesville Municipal Court was held Wednesday, Oct. 16, with Judge Jay Westfaul presiding.
Reginald F. Edwards,102 Dora St., Batesville, pleaded guilty to trespassing and non-payment of old fines totaling $1,064.
Najee L. Edwards, Eureka St., Batesville, failed to appear for charges of disorderly conduct-failure to comply and non-payment of old fines totaling $1,630.
Markevious D. Smith, 4029 Eureka St., Batesville, pleaded guilty to a charge of false pretenses and was fined $368.
Taneshia J. Young, 2791 Shiloh Rd., Batesville, was found guilty of embezzlement with a sentencing hearing be handed down at a later date. Young also has charges of false identifying information, no proof of insurance, driving on the wrong side of the road, driving with a suspended license and non-payment of old fines that will also be heard at a later date.
Jeffrey D. Nelson,1267 Neptune St., Memphis, failed to appear on charges of false identifying information and no driver’s license.
Darius T. Smith,III, 114 Williams St., Batesville, had a domestic violence charge dismissed due to lack of prosecution.
Joyce A. Gross,1024 4th St.,Lambert, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and was fined $1,146
Patricia D. Wright, 3321 Kyle Ln., Hernando, pleaded guilty to two counts of shoplifting and was sentenced to 30 days in jail with a $2,292 fine.
Lamarcus R. Jackson, 404 Alcorn St., Sardis, pleaded guilty to non-payment of old fines and failure to yield to the right of way and fined $907
David T.Mankamyer,13 Cottage Grove Dr.,Apt.3 Oxford, pleaded guilty to no driver’s license and non-payment of old fines totaling $1,217.
Robert M. Williams, 1475 Hadorn Rd., Apt.19, Batesville, pleaded guilty to DUI and driving on the wrong side of the road and was fined $934.
Justin Hentz, 2091/2 Armstrong St., Batesville, had a felony malicious mischief and simple assault to create fear charge bound over to the Panola Co. Grand Jury. Hentz was also fined $227 for an expired tag.
In cases set for trial,
Adam Brown, 107 Farrish Gravel Rd., Batesville, was found guilty of DUI and careless driving and was fined $944.
Jamal Rudd, 103 Field St., Batesville, was found guilty of disturbing the peace and fined $328.
Eddie Jackson, 8221 Curtis Rd., Batesville, was found guilty of possession of a controlled substance and public drunkenness and fined $668.
Kristina Tabor, 114 Normandy St., Batesville, had a shoplifting and possession of marijuana case continued.
Kelsey Turner, 104 Jackson St., Batesville, had a civil case dismissed.
