Edward Ford was warned by Justice Court Judge Charlie Baglan to get his belongings out of his grandmother’s house and never return there. Ford was escorted to Justice Court in Sardis Tuesday morning from jail where he had been for 48 hours for threatening his grandmother’s life.

His grandmother who lives in Courtland had filed an order of protection against him. He was ordered released from jail and to only return to the house with a police escort to get his belongings.

Also coming from jail before the judge were Robert Kersch who was found guilty of DUI and Christopher Golden of Quitman County , charged with DUI (first), driving while license suspended, and disturbance of a family. Both were also released after court.

Continuations

Rodney Jackson’s DUI case will be continued Oct. 22.

Dillion Smith’s speeding case will be continued Sept. 17.

Leroy Wilson’s DUI charge will be continued Oct. 22.

Ashley Dillon will return Oct. 22 for a no driver’s license charge.

Luis Viscencio possession and DUI charges will be heard Oct. 22.

Kendraia Parker will answer to DUI charge Oct. 22.

Jason Morgan will return to court Oct. 22 for driving the wrong way, an improper turn, failure to yield right of way, driving while license suspended, seat belt violation and DUI.

George Boothe’s simple assault case was continued to Oct. 22.

Terry Williams’ petit larceny case was continued to January 28, 2020.

Arlisha Perry will answer to two counts of malicious mischief Sept. 24.

Brandon Faulkner has to return to court Sept. 24 for making threatening telephone calls.

Anika Weaver’s no headlights case will be heard Oct. 22.

Larry Petro’s headlights violation case is continued to Oct. 22.

Other Cases

Oshagus Lydell Thomas pled guilty to DUI and was fined $1,250. He has to comply with monthly drug testing for four months. He had no insurance, speeding, driving while license suspended, possession of paraphernalia and speeding charges dismissed.

Nathaniel Geter pled guilty to DUI. His no insurance and no driver’s license charges were dismissed. His possession charge was remanded to the file.

Jeffery Norwood was guilty of no insurance. His careless driving and speeding charges were remanded to the file.

A warrant was issued for Tyesha Cox who failed to appear to answer charges of stalking and simple assault.

Aaron Barton was found guilty of falsifying license and possession of paraphernalia charge was remanded to the file.

Erica Williams was found guilty of seat belt violation and her speeding charge was remanded to the file.

Failure to Appear

Aaron Hefter is charged with DUI.

Limekin Arnold has two counts of DUI.

Shunessy Bishop faces a seatbelt violation charge.

Tyree Dean is charged with no driver’s license.

Margrett Sullivan is charged with no driver’s license and selling beer.
