Funeral services for Wanda Faye Morrow Folwer were held Tuesday, July 16, in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with interment in the Eureka Private Cemetery near Courtland. Those honored to serve as pallbearers included Mark Aldridge, Teddy Morrow, Tim Morrow, Paxton Taylor, George Latham and Chris Clark.
She passed away Sunday, July 14, 2019, at her home in Courtland.
Wanda was born November 9, 1948 in Batesville to the late Casey Sherman and Gladys Lillian Clevenger Morrow. She was a retired registered nurse that enjoyed attending blues concerts in her spare time. Wanda was a member of the First Baptist Church in Batesville, and loved to paint, but most importantly, she loved her family dearly.
Her loving legacy will be cherished by her husband, Larry Fowler of Courtland; a daughter, Erika Fason (Nick) of Walthall; a son, Tim Christ of Oxford; three sisters, Betty Morrow Aldridge of Courtland, Theresa Morrow Douglas of Batesville, and Diane Morrow Latham of Oxford; a brother, Billy (Bobby) Morrow, Sr. of Courtland; and two grandchildren, Elam Brody Fason and Janna Rialey Fason.
Along with her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara Morrow McCullar; and two brothers, Sherman Edward Morrow and Larry Wayne Morrow.
Bonnie Marie Alred Hoop, 33, of Batesville, died July 15, 2019 at Crystal Health and Rehab in Greenwood.
She was born May 23, 1986 in Batesville. She was a homemaker.
There will be no services held.
Donald Lee Jackson,55, of Senatobia, died Monday, July 15, 2019, at Baptist Reynolds Hospice House of Collierville. He was the brother of Natasha Jackson of Sardis.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 20, at noon at Macedonia M.B. Church in Senatobia. Visitation is today (July 19) from 4 to 6 p.m. at Rodgers Funeral Home in Coldwater and from 11 a.m. until service time at the church.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Jackson was a computer tech and member of F&AM Monosomic.
A memorial service for Jackie G. Jenkins, 64, will be held Saturday, July 20, at Locke Station Baptist Church at 2 p.m. with Bro. Rusty Miller officiating.
He died June 29, 2019, at his home in Chicago after a battle with cancer.
Mr. Jenkins was born June 25, 1955, in Batesville to the late Dero Curtis Jenkins and Ovie Sue Jenkins. He attended South Panola schools and Northwest Mississippi Community College. He was retired from the Teamster Organization.
He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed duck hunting and fishing. He loved his family, his many friends and his beloved animals.
He is survived by two brothers, James (Tawana) Jenkins of Batesville, and Johnny (Rhonda) Jenkins of Walker, La.; a niece, Heather Jenkins Scott of Batesville; two nephews, Steven Jenkins of Batesville and Corey Jenkins of Baton Rouge, La.; four grand-nieces, Payton Scott and Anna Scott, both of Batesville, and Riley Jenkins and Nora Jenkins, both of Baton Rouge; and three grand-nephews, J.T. Scott and Parker Jenkins, both of Batesville; and Gauge Jenkins of Baton Rouge.
Eddie Levon Lewis, 69, of Senatobia, died Sunday, July 14, 2019 at Baptist DeSoto Memorial Hospital in Southaven. He is the brother of Maggie L. Walton of Como.
Funeral service will be held today (July 19) at noon at Springfield M.B. Church in Senatobia. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Felix Cauthen Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
He was a retired factory worker.
Delma Tutor, 96, died Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at his home in Tunica.
