Feb 17

On Sunday, Feb. 17, at 3 p.m., Nelson Chapel M.B. Church in Pope will be the host site for the 19th Annual Combined Black History Celebration of the Mt. Pleasant M.B., Nelson Chapel M.B., and the Pope Chapel AME Zion churches. Everyone is invited to fellowship with us on this occasion. Rev. Fred Ira Butts is the host pastor.

Salem M B Church will be having installation service on Feb. 17 during its morning service at 10:30 a.m. Pastor Brian Olden and Zion Hill M.B Church of Hernando will be the special guest. Rev Larry Itson is pastor.

Feb. 23

Sardis District Sunday School and N.B.C. Congress of North Miss., will have its annual Black History Program at the Sardis Education building on Feb. 23 at 6 p.m. The public is cordially invited.

Feb. 24

The Liberty Hill M.B. Church pastor aid committee, 1414 Cosby Road, Courtland, will have its Women in Red program Sunday, Feb. 24 at 3 p.m. Minister Tonya Butler, along with the Pope Chapel AME Zion Church, will be the guests. Dameon L. Cunningham is the pastor.

United Fellowship M.B. Church will be having a Black History program Feb. 24 at 3 p.m. Bro. Ray Hawkins of New Providence Baptist Church will be the guest speaker. Jeffery K. McMullen is church pastor. For more information, call 662-712-6021.

Mt. Zion Baptist Church will celebrate its Black History Program on Feb. 24 at 3 p.m. The special guest speaker will be Dt. Ethel Scurlock of United Baptist Alvis Grove. The public is invited to attend.

Feb 26

The Grace Place Grand Opening is Tuesday, Feb. 26, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its headquarters on 206 Pettit Street. Tours and refreshments included. (The Grace Place, Inc. is a Christian charitable organization, seeking to coordinate church and community efforts to meet physical, emotional, and spiritual needs in our community.)

March 1

Batesville First Baptist Church will host a Wildgame Supper at 6:30 p.m. Chuck McAlister is the guest speaker.

Fri.-Sat., April 5&6

Batesville First Baptist Church will host its second annual Marriage Conference. Speakers are Wayne and Tina Hudson of Kosciusko. Times and other information will be released later.


April 14

Batesville First Baptist Church will hold a Gaither-Style Singing at 3:30 p.m.
