The following cases were heard in Batesville Municipal Court on Wednesday, Nov. 28, with Judge Jay Westfaul presiding:

Willie B. Ellis Jr. 101 Bradford St., Batesville, pleaded no contest to disturbance of a family and fined $328 due in 30 days.

Steve Harris, 208 Jefferies St., Batesville, pleaded not guilty to disorderly conduct and given a Jan. 9 trail date.

Tyler W. Hatley, 107 Central, Batesville, was found guilty of disorderly conduct and was given six months probation.

Larry Robinson, Jr., 161 Audrey Rd., Courtland, pleaded guilty to simple assault and fined $328 due in 30 days.

Mysti Gurley, 12495 Lee Rd., Byhalia, was given time served for public drunkenness.

Alexis Bradford, 427 Rosalind St., Charleston, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and fined $1,146 due in 30 days.

Marquis Handy, 410 Brooks Rd., Marks, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and fined $1,146 due in 30 days.

Krislyn Collins, 113 Keating Grove, Batesville, failed to appear on a shoplifting charge. Williams Bonding Co. was notified.

Javon Johnson, 1708 Shiloh Rd., Courtland, pleaded guilty to contempt off court and non-payment of old fines. Johnson was given 60 days to pay $306.

Sean C. Caine, 3134 Hwy. 6 East, Marks, failed to appear on charges of non-payment of old fines plus news charges of speeding, no insurance, expired tag and suspended drivers license totaling $1,165.

Keyon B. Williams, 107 Martin Luther Kink St, A-5, Batesville, pleaded guilty to contempt of court and fined $1,273 due in 60 days.

Jermaine Scott, 207 Holland St., Charleston, was released after time served in Yalobusha County.

Tracey L. Barksdale, Jr., 111George Thomas Rd., Batesville, had charges of felony assault of a officer, resisting arrest, two counts of running a stop sign, reckless driving, no drivers license, no proof of insurance, expired tag and failure to stop to a officers signal bound over to a grand jury.

Kelly Henning-Pitcock, 330 CR 485 Water Valley, had a  charge of felony embezzlement bound over to Circuit Court.

Winter Swope, 216-A Broadway, St., Batesville, had a charge of public drunkenness remanded to the files.

Rayshon Hewitt, no address given, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and fined $647 due in 30 days.

Justin Mister, no address given, was found guilty of non-payment of old fines and given 60 days to pay $533.

In cases set for trial,

Kristin Legge, 448 Chunn Rd., Batesville, had case of running a stop sign and driving with a suspended license continued.

Jessie H. Alred, 444 Lemaster Rd., Sardis, had a case of DUI and careless driving continued.

Hunter Lenard, 218-A Broadway St., Batesville, pleaded guilty to three counts of petit larceny but agreed to pay $350 in restitution charges due in 30 days.
