Tigers FFA offers fruits, meats in fundraiser

The South Panola Future Farmers of America (FFA) are in the middle of their annual holiday fruit and meat fundraiser.

Fruit orders are due Nov. 26 and will be delivered the week of  Dec. 10. Christmas meat orders are due Nov. 19 will also be delivered the week of Dec. 10.

FFA advisor Josh Davenport said portions of the sales will go to student activity funds to be used for expenses incurred at competitions and conventions.

Davenport also teaches horticulture. He works along with Wess Anglin who teaches animal science. Both also teach concepts of agriscience.

Some of the selections available include: Pork fillets $25, smoked turkey $35 , Cajun turkey $35, peppered bacon $20, pit ham $38, spiral ham $38, stuffed chicken $20, and natchitoches meat pies $20 

Some of the fruit selections include: Mandarin clementines half case $18, full case $35, naval Oranges half $23, full $3, Hamlin oranges half $20, full $30, red grapefruit half $20, full $30 and

red and golden delicious apples half $25, full $40.

There is also a fruit bucket with about 25 pounds of assorted fruit for $25. It includes red and golden apples, red grapefruit and navel oranges.
