Staff Report

Batesville will host the first round of the Peewee Football playoffs Saturday beginning at 9 a.m at Robert H. Dunlap Stadium.

All three Tiger teams will be playing as will teams from Water Valley, Clarksdale, Sardis, Charleston, and Greenwood.

The head coaches are James Dean (7&8’s), Roosevelt Jones (9&10’s), and Tavares Lee (11&12’s).

Winners this week will advance to the second round next Saturday. The venue has yet to be determined.

The schedule for Saturday is:

9 a.m. – Water Valley vs. Clarksdale (7 &8’s)

10:15 a.m. – Batesville vs. Clarksdale (11&12’s)

11:30 a.m. – Batesville vs. Greenwood (9 &10’s)

12:45 p.m. – Sardis vs Greenwood (7&8’s)

2 p.m. – Sardis vs. Greenwood (11&12’s)

3:15 p.m. – Batesville vs. Charleston (7&8’s)
