We keep check on his status as he chases the all-time passing record at North Panola.

Jefferson has passed for 6,114 yards and 82 touchdowns as he chases the records of 9,309 yards and 104 touchdowns. He now has 1,367 yards and 13 touchdowns. He is 1,828 yards and nine touchdowns away from history.

These yards will be tough to obtain but he has some big games in the final three regular season games and hopefully, makes a state championship run in the playoffs. It may not be too hard to reach.

The touchdown record will definitely be broken before the regular season ends.

Another player which bears watching is South Panola’s Janari Dean who was on pace for 2,000 rushing yards which has not been done since Darrell Henderson.

Horn Lake and Oxford learned how to contain him that hurt his chances. He has 1,172 rushing yards and nine touchdowns. He can get close to the marker since he has four games left in the season.

He will need to rush for 828 more yards. If the Tigers can make a push in the playoffs, then he possibly can reach that goal. He will need to average 207 yards a game for the rest of the regular season which is not that hard because of his three 200 yards this season. So keep watch as we review the talents in the county strive towards big statical seasons.
