United Solutions, a Massachusetts based consumer housewares manufacturer, has made the commitment to invest in and expand its current facility located at 1052 Industrial Park Road in Sardis.

United Solutions has been in business for 99 years and opened the Sardis facility in 2001.

In partnership with the Mississippi Development Authority, Panola County Partnership, Northwest Mississippi Community College and the North Delta Planning and Development District, United plans to invest in equipment and infrastructure improvements and other additions while adding 100 full-time jobs to the local area.

United officials said, “This offers an excellent opportunity to expand and grow our business in Sardis while simultaneously helping to stimulate the continued economic growth of Panola County. We found state and county agencies were excited, very open and supportive of our growth & development plans and United is equally excited as we move forward into a new phase of business growth in the Sardis community.”

Cole Flint, president of the Panola County Board of Supervisors, applauded the company’s decision, saying the county board has worked hard to accommodate United Solutions and their expansion plans.

“This board knows how important United Solutions is to the Town of Sardis, and we were thrilled when the company made the decision to invest even more into that area of the county” Flint said. “Sometimes people think the supervisors are more interested in getting new jobs for the Batesville end of the county, but that’s not true. Every job that comes to Panola County helps everybody that lives, works, and pays taxes.”

“Our board is equally excited when new jobs are created in Sardis as we would be in Batesville or Crenshaw or anywhere else,” Flint said. “We may work in different communities, but when the sun goes down each night we all sleep in Panola County. That’s the way we look at it.”
