Jim Cutberth

Jim Cutberth, two weeks shy of his 86th birthday, passed away on May 10, 2018 at Methodist Germantown Hospice care.
Known to many as the “candy man”, Jim never met a stranger. Whether it be the store, bank or doctor’s office, he would greet you with a Werthers.
Jim was born on May 26, 1932 in Middleton to the late Claude and Mary Addie Cutberth. He moved to Memphis in the early 1950’s. It was there he married Mary Ruth Chunn and lived for more than 50 years. He was an Electrician and member of the IBEW local 474 for 60 years. In 1997 he retired and moved to Sardis. After the passing of his wife of 62 years in 2016, Jim was never the same.
Jim leaves behind two daughters Linda Stolting (Ken) of Mt. Juliet, Tenn., Melissa Drum (Doug) of Bartlett; four grandchildren, Heather, Joel, Justin and Callie; and one great-grandchild, Cooper.

Joani Karololine Howell

Joani Karololine Howell, 38, died Friday, May 4, 2018 at her home in Memphis.
Joani was born Oct. 28, 1979 to Joseph “Joey” Howell, formerly of Batesville and Lawanda Holcomb of Sardis.
The family is planning a candle light memorial service. The date, time and place will be announced at a later time.

Lisa Ann Mills

Lisa Ann Mills, 51, died Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at her sisters home in Batesville.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 19 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with interment to follow in Lambert Cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home.
Lisa was born March 15, 1967 to Faye Pruitt Cobb and the late J.C. Golden in Clarksdale. S
She was a nurse and a member of Courtland Baptist Church.

Melissa “Lisa” Moore

Melissa “Lisa” Moore, 49, died Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Diversicare in Batesville.
Services will be held today at 4 p.m. at Willow Springs Assembly of God in Enid. Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery. Pastor Tommy Darby will officiate. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the church.
Moore was born December 21, 1968 in Batesville to Earlie Gene Moore and the late Mary Frances Coker Moore.
She was a home maker and member of Willow Springs Assembly of God.
