Batesville nurse named Mrs. Magnolia State
Keyshaw Taylor of Batesville was named Mrs. Magnolia State in a pageant in Vicksburg November 17-19. The 34-year-old registered nurse is Director of Labor and Delivery/Nursery at Panola Medical Center. She is married to Keithon Taylor and they have three children- Kingston, Karis, and Karson.
It was her daughter who encouraged her to participate with her in a pageant preliminary where Taylor was named Mrs. Panola County. (There were four age divisions, beginning with Junior Miss.)
At the state pageant there were 31 contestants in the “Mrs.” category.
“I never thought I would win,” she said. “I was just entering with my daughter for fun.”
Taylor has been a volunteer at community health fairs and worked in last year’s Convoy of Hope event.
