Como Day plans include music, food, 5K, kids’ stuff, film

The Como Day celebration of 2016 is seeking vendors and participants for the mid-October event that will feature food, beverage and live entertainment starting at noon Saturday, Oct. 15.
Live entertainment is expected to include Jwonn, Williams LaMorris and the Southern Souls of Crenshaw, according to a Como spokesman.
The Como Main Street Alliance will sponsor a chili cookoff, Yalobusha Brewery brews, Homeplace Pastures barbecue, bouncies and kid activities, a 5K run and a film featuring the Life and Music of Mississippi Fred McDowell.
Vendors can reserve space for $25, Como City Clerk Alice Houston said. For more information, call 662-526-9647.
