SP track teams place in Byhalia

South Panola track traveled to Byhalia for the Tri-County Championship meet on Saturday and came out with good results. The varsity team finished third overall along with the Jr. High boys finished second and the Jr. High girls finished third.
In the varsity races Laquesha Crowder came in third in the 100m hurdles with a 23.96 time. She also came in fourth in the 300m hurdles with a time of 1:04:36.
Chris Felix won both the 100m dash and the 110m hurdles. His time in the 100m dash was a 11.75 and in the 110m hurdles was 15.76.
Felix was also part of the boys 4X100m and 4X200m relays teams. Included on both teams with Felix was Janari Dean, Justin Reed and Cortez Campbell. In the 4X100m they placed second with a 46:58 time and in the 4X200 they came in third with a 1:38:29.
In the girls 200m Christy Hubbard placed first with a 30.04 and Miya Williams placed third with a 30.32 time.
Hubbard and Williams were both apart of the girls 4X100m and 4X200m relays teams. Both teams came in first place. They clocked in with a 52.63 time on the 4X100m and a 1:53.38 on the 4X200m.
Included on the team were Jannaria Sanford and Jaterrica Amos.
Reed came in a close second on the 200m dash with a final time of 24.51. For the girls 100m dash, Amos placed first with a 13.57 and Hubbard, with a 13.78, came in second.
In the 400m dash Edward Walters came in second with a 1:00.40.
South Panola track will run again Saturday in Tupelo starting at 10 a.m.
