Lady Green Wave wins-boys losing streak continues to St. Joseph

The North Delta Lady Green Wave evened its district record at 3-3 on the year with a 31-21 road victory over St. Joseph Monday.
Sarah Johnson and Ally Alford paced the Lady Wave with nine points each while Ginger Stephens added four points. Mary Emily Morris, Faith Bollinger, Megan Bollinger and Emy Cay Donaldson all contributed with two points. Payton Scott finished with one point.
North Delta’s varsity boys squad meanwhile remained winless in district play with a 61-23 loss to the Fighting Irish.
North Delta returned to Greenville Tuesday to square off against Washington School and lost both games. The Lady Wave saw its four-game winning streak come to an  end with a 51-32 setback despite 15 points from Sarah Johnson. Alford contributed with 10 points while Morris added four and Faith Bollinger supplied two in the losing effort.
The Green Wave varsity boys dropped its seventh game in a row with a 50-40 loss to the Generals. Joseph Wright led North Delta (4-11) with eight points. Alex Greenlee and Ely Bryant provided seven. Joseph Cox and Cole Devazier added six each while Peyton Neal chipped in with four. Avery Rowland closed out the scoring with two points.
 North Delta returns to district play today as they host Kirk beginning at 3 p.m before visiting Bayou Tuesday.
