Judge Bill McKenzie referred two cases to the grand jury during Batesville Municipal Court Wednesday.

Adrea M. Dillon, 178 W. Oak Cove, Batesville, was referred to the grand jury for burglary of an occupied dwelling and grand larceny.

Robert L. Spain, 375-A Tubbs Rd., Batesville, was referred to the grand jury for felony domestic violence. He also had old fines of $792.50 due since January 2013.

He entered the city’s work release program for 14 days to satisfy his fines.

Marcus T. Lee, 212 Hays St., Batesville, paid fines of $864 in full prior to court for possession of marijuana in a vehicle and running a stop sign.

Ronald G. Thames, 759 Glencross, Jackson, was fined $443 for simple possession of marijuana while on campus at Job Corps on October 23. A Job Corps representative told the court Thames was terminated from the program.

Ladarrius J. Hines, 217 Noble St., Batesville, entered  a guilty plea to disorderly conduct and had old fines of $306 due since February 2015. Hines entered the city’s work program for 11 days to satisfy fines.

Markevious Q. Robinson, 105 Browning St., Batesville, had a case for simple assault dismissed after the affiant, Shimera Thomas, failed to appear to prosecute.

Charles Orr Sr., no address given, entered a guilty plea to domestic violence-simple assault. He was fined $417.

Jess B. White, 109 Henry Heafner Rd., Sardis, entered a not guilty plea to simple possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and domestic violence-simple. A trial was set for November 18.

Johnathan K. Green, 5827 Tchulahoma Rd., Southaven, had a trial set for December 9 for embezzlement.

The judge continued the case of Gregory A. Massey, 6793 Eureka Rd., Courtland, charged with DUI-refusal and leaving scene of accident.

Deon C. Pryor, 218 Broadway, Batesville, failed to pay old fines of $860 due since January 2015. The judge told him to return in two weeks with full payment or serve time in jail.

Quentin Cox, 101 Everette St., Batesville, had old fines of $986 due since September 2015.  He has until Wednesday to have his fines paid in full or serve time in jail.
