Two defendants referred to grand jury in city court

Judge Bill McKenzie referred two defendants to the grand jury during Batesville Municipal Court held Wednesday.

Justin Fletcher, 712 Bethlehem Rd., Batesville, was referred to the grand jury for burglary of an occupied dwelling, petit larceny and has a MDOC hold.

Bryan M. Mullen, 219 Baker St., Batesville, was referred to the grand jury for felony embezzlement.

Matthew Daughtery, 16 Oak Grove Rd., Sardis, was referred to MDOC

Lauren E. Robison, 247 Pollard St., Batesville, had a case continued for open container, possession of marijuana in a vehicle and possession of paraphernalia.

Everett R. Mixon, 210 Georgia St., Batesville, was fined $328 after entering a guilty plea to disorderly conduct.

Michael J. Triplet, 205 Reed Ridge Circle, Southaven, had a case for simple assault dismissed after the affiant Marion Hall, failed to appear to prosecute.

Jamarcus Hamilton, 106 Goodhaven Rd., Batesville, failed to work his assigned days on the city’s work release program in lieu of paying his old fines of $1,146 due since January.

He was ordered to have his fines paid in full or serve time in jail.
