OXFORD–Michael Wayne Wilkins, 50, died Friday, January 30, 2015, at Oktibbeha County Hospital in Starkville. He was the father of Jessica Vaughn of Batesville.

Services will be held Saturday, February 7 at 11 a.m. at Cooley’s Mortuary. Dexter Ross will officiate. Visitation will be held Friday from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakridge Cemetery in Water Valley. Cooley’s Mortuary has charge.

Wilkins, born Feb. 14, 1964, in Lafayette County, to the late Jeremiah Wilkins and Lula Turner of Oxford, was a self employed concrete finisher. He was a member of Martin Street Church of Christ in Water Valley.
Survivors along with his mother and daughter include: daughters, Porshia Vaughn and Mikyla Rockett, both of Oxford; four brothers, Kalvin Wilkins of Tampa, Fla., Anthony Wilkins of Orlando, Robert Tatum of Madison and Shawn Wilkins of Lebanon, Tenn. and two grandchildren.
