Chucky Mullins, Herrington among Ole Miss 2014 Hall of Fame class

OXFORD – The life and influence of Chucky Mullins will be celebrated during the Ole Miss-Memphis football game weekend (Sept. 27) as part of the M-Club Hall of Fame induction ceremonies on campus.

The late Mullins died in 1991 after a paralyzing hit on the football field in 1989, and on the 25th anniversary of his injury, all Chucky Mullins Courage Award winners are being invited back to campus for the festivities.

“We’re going to call the weekend, ‘It’s Time,’ in celebration of the life and spirit of Chucky Mullins,” said Ole Miss Athletics Director Ross Bjork. “We’re excited about this. It’s a great way to remember him during the 25th year after his accident. We’re proud to continue his spirit here at the University of Mississippi.”
