Batesville’s Christmas parade, postponed from Tuesday because of rain, has been rescheduled for Sunday afternoon at 2:30, according to Jerry Lightsey who directs the event each year for the Batesville Lions Club.

Lightsey said the state 6-A football champions South Panola Tigers have been invited to participate. Also expected is the state’s Miss Hospitality Chandler Llana of Batesville. Winners of the Miss Springfest pageant, the North Panola High School Band, and Santa Claus are among others set to participate.
