Interment was at Crowder Cemetery.

Turman, a North Delta School graduate, was employed as a daycare worker at First United Methodist Church.

She attended Crowder Assembly of God.

Turman was the driver in a car that collided with a second car about nine miles north of Charleston, said Ginger Meriwether, Tallahatchie County coroner.

The collision also took the life of the second driver, identified as Timothy P. Rogers, 49, of Charleston, Meriwether said.

Both Turman and Rogers were pronounced dead on the scene. The automobile wreck happened about 5 p.m.

The automobiles met on a small hill on a straight-away portion of the highway, the coroner said.

A spokesman for the Miss. Highway Patrol said four passengers were also involved in the two-vehicle wreck.

Three passengers were transported from the scene by ambulance and a third was transported by private automobile, said MHP spokesman Joey Miller.

The names of the passengers were not available at press time, he said.
