Bobby Boucher Jr.
BARTONVILLE, Ill.–Bobby Boucher Jr., 34, died Monday, July 5, 2010. He was the son of Bobby W. Boucher Sr. of Batesville and Rhonda Skender Belin of Peroria, Ill.
Services were Friday at Schmidt-Haller Burial and Cremation Services in Peoria, Ill.
Boucher, was born Jan. 3, 1976, in Joliet, Ill.
He is also survived by six sisters, Ginnie Boucher LaCost, Amanda Boucher, Diana Fuller, Alice Guppy, Karman Holden and Jennifer Stephenson; three brothers, Craig Belin, Danny Short and Bert Morris.
FORT WORTH, Texas–Garry Wayne Fisk, 58, died Monday, July 5, 2010, at his residence. He was brother of Esther Rose of Batesville, Nell Martin of Pope and Carolyn Hutchins Rico of Enid.
Services were Thursday at Garner Harper Funeral Home. Rev. Benjamin Stafford officiated. Burial was in New Hope Cemetery in Coffeeville. Garner-Harper Funeral Home had charge.
Fisk born May 21, 1952 to Clayton Durell and Ruby Rodgers Fisk, was a mechanic and farmer.
Survivors along with his sisters include: his wife, Ann Arbuckle; four daughters, Barbara Sue Madly and Elizabeth Ann Smith, both of Kalamazoo, Mich., Pam Smith of Cleburne, Texas and Jennifer Hearn of Cascilla; one son, Michael Wayne Fisk of Fort Worth; three step-daughters, Freda Lovegreen of Grand Prairie, Texas and Rosie Henry of Coldwater; and Shelia Baker of Ft. Worth, and one stepson, Robert Arbuckle Jr. of Memphis; five sisters, Betty Byford of Coffeevlle, Joyce Naramore, Jo Ann Bailey, Bobby Ellis of Grenada and Mary Martin of Greenwood; two brothers, David Fisk of Nesbit and Clayton Fisk of Winona; 16 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.
COLDWATER–Joyce G. Gill, 74, died Sunday, July 4, 2010, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi. She was the mother of Delores Gibson of Como.
Private burial services will take place in the family cemetery in Clinton, La. Kenneth I. Roberson Funeral Home of Sardis has charge.
Gill, born to Earl Grenn and Eunice Summers Grenn, was a native of Brookhaven and a former resident of Harmontown.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Travis Gill Sr and one son, Glenn Lucas Lamar.
Survivors along with her daughter include: two daughters, Kellie Burgeois of Clinton, La. and Pam Dull of Fort Myers, Fla.; two sons, Barry Gill of Baton Rouge, La. and Trais Gill Jr. of Livingston, La.; three brothers, Carl Grenn, Robert Grenn and Arnold Grenn, all of McComb; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
LAMBERT–Kathryn Savage Lamar, 91, died Thursday, July 8, 2010, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi.
Services were Sunday at Lambert United Methodist Church. Rev. Charles Simmons and Rev. Don O’Quinn officiated. Burial was in Lambert Cemetery. Wells Funeral Home had charge.
Lamar, born Jan. 3, 1919, in Lambert, to Van and Eva Fewell Savage was a business woman who farmed and was a cotton ginner. She was a seamstress and muscian. She was a member of Lambert United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by one son, Glenn Lucas Lamar.
Survivors include: two daughters, Evan Lamar Parks of Oxford, Carolyn Lamar Dancy of Lambert; one son, Percie Lee Lamar III of Olive Branch; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials in Mrs. Lamar’s memory be made to any of the following: Lambert United Methodist Church, The American Diabetes Association or Delta Academy.
BATESVILLE–Sarah Frances Everett Short, 91, died Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at Methodist Hospital in Memphis.
Graveside services were Saturday, July 10, at Rosehill Cemetery in Sardis.
Ray-Nowell Funeral Home had charge.
Short was born August 6, 1918, in Clarendon, Ark., to the late Lena Park and William Elansom Everett. She graduated from Clarendon High School in 1936. She attended the University of Mississippi where she was a member of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority. After graduating from business school, she worked as a teacher in Como until marrying William H. “Bill” Short in 1944 upon which time she became a homemaker.
She was an active member of Sledge United Methodist Church where she had served as a Sunday school teacher and in many other capacities.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Survivors include her sister, Margie Everett Bateman of Clarendon, Ark.
