Panola native to sign copies of first book
Earl Robert Key will sign copies of his book, Strong Boy, Weak Man, at Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church Saturday.
The book signing will begin at 5 p.m.
The church is located at 3706 Pope Crowder Road.
Key describes the book as “fiction based on a true story.”
“I wrote about the Class of 1969 from the seventh grade through high school,” said Key, a member of Patton Lane High School’s Class of 1969.
Key, now a master barber in Memphis, grew up in a family of 13 children near Enid.
Biographical details of Key’s main character, Michael DeAngelo Nicholas, occasionally coincide with those of the author.
The book was published by PublishAmerica.
