Absentee voting has begun for Mississippi’s 1st Congressional District runoff.

The runoff is May 13 between Southaven Mayor Greg Davis and Prentiss County Chancery Clerk Travis Childers.

In Panola County, Childers led votes on April 22 with 1,057 votes to 1,058 votes for Davis. Independent candidate Wally Pang garnered 279 votes.
