Police find narcotics, paraphernalia in stop

Two incidents on Tubbs Road were included in weekend occurrence reports released by Batesville Police Department, while a drug arrest and wreck on Brewer Road were the other two incidents reported.

A burglary apparently occurred Saturday at a Tubbs Road apartment with $1,104 the amount of cash reportedly taken, according to Sergeant Scott Cagle’s report.

The following day a domestic violence/simple assault apparently occurred, according to a Tubbs Road apartment resident who came to the police department to file charges.

Patrolman Justin Davis’ report of Sunday, Sept. 18 stated the assailant came to the residence, they got into an argument and he, “hit her in back of the head with closed fist,” according to the report which also stated the victim had two children with the assailant.

The victim was given a victims’ rights form and waived her rights, according to the report.

Also Sunday Patrolman Zach White’s report indicated he was patrolling in the area of Highway 6 and Eureka where he saw  two vehicles parked behind a loaded trailer.

“After speaking to the subjects, narcotics and paraphernalia were found. The two subjects were taken to the Panola County Jail,” according to the report which also stated the vehicle was impounded from the scene.

Earlier on Sunday at 7:51 a.m., Patrolman Brandon Urban’s report indicated a wreck on Brewer Road with injuries. One was transported by Medstat, according to Urban’s report.
