Ole Miss Steele Band

A lively concert by the Ole Miss Steel Band, led by Ricky Burkhead, kicked off the Batesville Public Library’s Summer Reading Program last week. That’s the library’s youth specialist, Ole Miss band alum Angie Wells, on the drums in the background. A full calender of free summer activities is planned for all ages. Today and Thursday there are computer basics class for adults at 11 a.m. Wednesday at 10 storyteller Dianne Butler will present a story.  Every Friday at 2 p.m. the library will offer popcorn and a movie.
