Batesville Junior High fastpitch softball team traveled to Hernando Friday for a tournament where they were defeated by Hernando 12-2 and Lake Commorant 7-2. 
 Molly Seay started the game with a walk and Rebekah Cook followed with a single to left. Addison Hardy walked loading the bases and another walk by Avery Seay drove in Molly Seay.
 Cook was driven in on a sacrifice play giving the Lady Tigers 2-0 lead going to the bottom of the inning.
The Lady Tigers struggled on defense as the Hernando Tigers produced strong hits. Hernando had six singles and two triples for six runs.
In bottom of the second, Hernando scored another six runs for the 12-2 lead.
The Lady Tigers continued to battle as Molly Seay struck out two and Janarria Sanford threw home from center and stopping a run from scoring as Bailey Russell made the tag. 
The Lady Tigers managed to get two runners on base just as time ran out, ending the game.  
In their second game, the Lady Tigers were unable to put together an offense.
They scored their only two runs in the third inning. Meleah Pogue and Molly Seay walked and scored on a double to center by Rebekah Cook and a sacrifice fly by Hardy. 
The game was called as time expired leaving the final score at 7-2.
SP Jr. Varsity
The Junior Varsity fastpitch softball team travelled to Hernando Saturday for a tournament where they tied with Lake Commorant 4-4 and lost to Brighton, Tenn. 9-0. 
SP 4, Lake Cormorant 4
Nautica Edwards got on base with a bunt and scored on a double to center by Haven Dulin. Aubrianna Craven singled to short. Dulin scored on a sacrifice play by Kahlena Hentz.
Dulin hit a triple to right and scored on a bunt by Craven. Hentz got on base with a single and Tyler Hamby got on base with a double to left center.
Kaitlyn Tidwell’s fly to left center allowed Hentz to score giving the Lady Tigers four runs for the game.
The Lady Gators managed to score another run in the third to tie the score at four.
Brighton 9, SPJV 0
In their second game against the Brighton Cardinals, the Lady Tigers allowed a run in the first inning, but Brighton held strong on defense not allowing the Lady Tigers any runs in the game. 
The Lady Cardinals had one good inning that allowed them to run-rule the Lady Tigers. In the top of the second, the Lady Cardinals scored seven runs with two walks, one double, one triple, and four singles. 
The Lady Tigers fought to hold the Cardinals, but were unsuccessful as the Lady Cardinals scored another run in the final inning. The game was called as time ran out.
