Homeowner holds intruder at gunpoint til cops arrive

Batesville policemen responded to an apparent burglary Friday afternoon where the Patton Lane homeowner was holding the intruder at gunpoint under the bed.
Patrolman Brandon Urban and Sergeant Richard Lott responded and said in their reports the homeowner (name redacted) had earlier allowed Kendrick D. Flowers to enter his home to use the rest room.
Lott’s report said the homeowner was suspicious after Flowers left the house so the homeowner drove around the block and came back to find his front door open.
The report stated the homeowner entered the house and found Flowers under the bed and he held Flowers at gun point until officers arrived.
“I entered the house and made contact with (the homeowner) who had Kendrick D. Flowers at gunpoint. I could see Flowers under the bed with his hands out. I advised Flowers to crawl out from under the bed.”
Patrolman Urban who was also on the scene handcuffed Flowers and transported him to BPD the report stated.  Detective Tommy Crutcher also appeared at the scene and took over the investigation.
Lott’s report stated that the homeowner said a lock on the back window was broken and the window was pushed in, but nothing appeared to be missing.
Patrolman Rickie Terrell was summoned to Ozbirn St. later Friday afternoon where a resident said his home had been broken into and a White Mac notebook valued at $550 taken. The theft was thought to have occurred between 8:40 a.m. and 9:50 p.m. while the resident and his girlfriend were at work. No receipt or serial number was available.
A theft had occurred earlier at Skyline Motel where a room renter reported personal items missing including a DVD player, and two antennas all valued at $50. Patrolman Justin Davis’ report stated the motel owner was to review outside video. No serial numbers were for the items were available.
Quintarius Antonio Miller was arrested for marijuana during a traffic stop late Friday evening near Bull Market near Highway 51 and Eureka Street according to Patrolman Rickie Terrell’s report.
