Country music artist Craig Morgan will be the headliner for Batesville SpringFest on May 14, culminating a weekend of music, food and festivities.
“We just signed him last week,” Batesville Main Street manager Colleen Clark said Monday. “He has a pretty good following. We’re excited.”
The 51-year-old artist has been listed on the Billboard country charts 17 times over his 16-year recording career. His recording of “That’s What I Love About Sunday” was named Billboard’s number one country hit of 2005.
He has released a new single, “When I’m Gone.” His latest CD is “The Journey (Livin’ Hits).”
Morgan is an Army veteran, and performs regularly for military audiences. He is a frequent guest at the Grand Ole Opry, and hosts a TV show, “Craig Morgan’s All Access Outdoors,” now in its fourth season on the Outdoor Channel.
He and his family live in Dickson, Tenn.
