Phillip Van Anderson
BATESVILLE––Phillip Van Anderson, 66, died Friday, April 10, 2015, at his residence.
Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Cooley’s Mortuary. Pastor Zannie Leland will officiate.  Visitation will be held Friday 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Batesville Cemetery. Cooley’s Mortuary has charge.
Anderson, born Dec. 15, 1948, to Shirley Battle of Batesville and the late Willie B. Anderson, was a radio personality and disc jockey. He was a member of Coleman Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church.
Survivors along with her mother include: one son, Davon Ellis of Batesville; two daughters, Eboni Cole and Keboni Anderson, both of Batesville; six brothers, Douglas Anderson of Batesville, John Battle Jr. of Des Moines, Iowa, Harold Anderson of Denton, Texas, Michael Anderson of Southaven, Bruce Johnson of Enid, Larry Battle of El Paso, Texas; four sisters, Sheila Anderson, Marilyn Anderson, Patricia Andersonm all of Batesville and Bonnie Davis of Chicago and 16 grandchildren.

Sally H. Hubbard
MEMPHIS––Sally H. Hubbard, 83, died Monday, April 13, 2015, at her residence.
Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Wells Funeral Home. Rev. Doug Sullivan Gonzalez will officiate. Wells Funeral Home has charge.
Hubbard, born April 14, 1931, to the late Robert Lee Hawkins and Clyde L. Scott Hawkins, attended Pope High School where she was a basketball player. She was a dental assistant and a member of Independence Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include: daughter, Renee Dunn of Memphis; one son, Robert G. Hubbard of Hot Springs, Ark.; two sisters, Shirley Blackburn and Sandy Swords, both of Olive Branch.

Ernesteen Nail Smith
SARDIS––Ernesteen Nail Smith, 85, died Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at her residence.
A memorial service may be held at a later date. Ray-Nowell Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Sardis. Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughter and son, Becky Nail and Mike Nail, both of Sardis, MS and one brother, Buddy McCullough of Arkabutla.
 She was preceded in death by her husbands: Wayne Smith and Tom Nail; her parents, Ella Lee Manning and Robert  McCullough.

Danny Willard
 
CRENSHAW––Danny Willard, 65, of Crenshaw, MS, passed away April 12, 2015 at his residence.  He was preceded in death by his son, James Daniel Willard; father, Leaster Willard and brothers, Jerry Willard and Larry Willard. He is survived by his wife, Jeannie Willard of Crenshaw, MS; daughters, Tammy Jean Steward of Crenshaw, MS and Angie West of Senatobia, MS; sons, Ricky Chad Willard and Charles Michael Willard both of Crenshaw, MS; mother, Mary Ellen Willard of Crenshaw, MS; sisters, Carol Jane Stevens of Crenshaw, MS, Sherry Burkes of Sardis, MS, and Cathy Bolen of Crenshaw, MS; brother, Tony Willard of Senatobia, MS; and 8 grandchildren. Mr. Willard was a Vietnam Veteran having served in the US Navy. He was a Baptist and an honorary commissioner of the Longtown Fire Department. Mr. Willard was also a former Boy Scout troop leader. Services were held Wednesday, April 15, at 2:00 p.m. at Pate-Jones Funeral Home in Senatobia. Burial followed in Longtown Cemetery.
