Luke Daniels and Ryan McCurdy drove in two runs each as the Red Sox rallied from a 6-1 third inning deficit to double up the Royals 12-6  in a American Legion baseball contest Monday afternoon.

The Red Sox (1-1) tied the game with five runs in the bottom of the third then completed the comeback by putting up a six spot one inning later. Spencer Davis got the rally started in the third by drawing a leadoff walk then later scored on a fielders choice.

Blaine Ware kept the inning alive by reaching on error before Lige Simmerman delivered the big blow with a two-run single that drove in Ware and James Kyle Browning that knotted the game a 6-6 

The Sox took the lead for good in the fourth as Bailey Tatum was hit by a pitch to lead off the frame. Ty Arnold then singled before Cade Pickett walked to load the bases. Davis broke the tie game with a RBI groundout to score Tatum. After a two-hit batter load the bases yet again, Daniels lined a single up the middle to produce two runs for a 10-6 Red Sox advantage. Two batters later, McCurdy punched a single into left to drive in the final runs. Brandon Henson and Ware provided singles in the victory.

McCurdy and Daniels pitched two innings each for the Sox while Ware worked one inning of relief.

The Royals (1-1) struck for four runs in the top of the first on one hit and two Red Sox errors then added two more in the third a Luke Weldon’s two run single. Noah Willis paced the Royals offensively with three singles and a run batted in. Lance Lusk singled and scored a run in the losing effort. Willis, Weldon and Lusk all towed the rubber for the Royals.

  A’s-23 Yankees-0

Cole Rotenberry, Turner Rotenberry and Gehrig Griffin combined on a no-hitter as the A’s blasted the Yankees in four innings.

The A’s (2-0) pounded out 12 hits while scoring four in the first and six in the second before adding 13 runs in the fourth.

Cole Rotenberry drove in four runs with two doubles, a triple and a single to lead the A’s at the dish. Turner Rotenberry added two triples and scored four runs while driving in three runs Griffin and Jeremy McGee both doubled and singled to aid in the victory. Dalton Barefoot and Kyle Campbell each provided RBI singles.

Chris Casiday, Dakota Owens and Brayden Lee handled the pitching chores for the Yankees.
