Magazine available now, hot off press at Panolian

By Rita Howell
Free copies of Batesville The Magazine, produced by The Panolian, are inserted in mailed copies of the newspaper today. Non-subscribers may come by the newspaper office at 363 Highway 51 North to pick up a copy.

The spring-summer edition includes stories about the Como Mamas gospel group, clay potter Jimmy Griffin, food truck operator Jerome Partee, recipes from columnist Peggy Walker, an update on Vietnam War casualty Clarence Jones and the daughter he never knew.

In addition, the popular Batesville Bridal Album returns, with photos and stories from weddings of the past year, and two golden wedding celebrations.

“We are delighted with the response we’ve received since we began publishing Batesville The Magazine 2008,” Panolian publisher John Howell said. “Our advertisers and our readers agree with us that ours is a place rich with stories worth telling.”
