Fullilove pitches no-hitter, shutout

Nicole Fullilove pitched a perfect game on Thursday in a 2-0 shut out of Tupelo on the road.
Fullilove allowed no runs, hits or walks and struck out 10 Lady Golden Wave in the district game. Fullilove has 17-5 record and has struck out 226 at bat.

Scoring the two runs for the Lady Tigers (18-7, 4-1) was Chloe Morgan and Amber Helmes.
Morgan reached base by an error in top of the third and stole her way home. Fullilove drew a walk and Amber Helmes entered the game for her later scoring on a Haley Reid single.
Reid led the Lady Tigers at the plate, going three-for-three with singles in the first, fourth and fifth inning.

Morgan Parker had a double and Hannah Moore, a triple.

Chloe Morgan hit two singles and Sydney Morgan hit one single.

The Lady Tigers left nine on base.

Regan Aldridge was the losing pitcher. She allowed eight hits, walked five with no strike outs.
Southaven 9, South Panola 3

After shutting out Tupelo the Lady Tigers fell to Southaven 9-3 in a non-conference game Friday on the road. The Lady Tigers had one hit, left six on base and had three errors.

Moore was on the mound for the Lady Tigers. She allowed 10 hits, one walk and struck out six. Southaven left nine on base and had one error.

In the bottom of the first Southaven scored two runs off three hits. South Panola tied the game in top of the fourth off two walks.

Mallory Myers and Moore drew walks and Reid’s single to get on base and to second on an error driving Myers home. In the bottom of the frame Southaven scored five runs to take a 7-2 lead over South Panola.

With two outs on Southaven right fielder Joanna Doebler hit a single to shortstop. Shortstop Allison Williams hit a RBI double down the left field base line.

Designated player Saige Koczka reached second by an error and Williams crossed home plate. Center fielder Bre Harford hit an RBI double sending Koczka home.

Third baseman Hailee Kolwyck reached first by an error loading the corners. First baseman Kendall McMahan hit a two RBI single to center field to give Southaven a five run lead.
Southaven scored two runs in the bottom of the fifth off a single and an error to take a 9-2 lead over South Panola.

South Panola loaded the bags to start the top of the seventh on three walks. Parker, Helmes and Sydney Morgan were in scoring position with one out on the board.

Sydney Morgan hit a ground ball to load the bases. Cummins picked up the first out from a fly ball to the catcher.

With the bases remaining loaded, Chloe Morgan hit a ground ball to first on a fielder’s choice and Parker drew the second out at home plate.

Myers stepped up to the plate with runners on all three bags and drew a walk sending Helmes home for the last run of the game.

South Panola played their last game of the season last night when they traveled to take on Grenada for a district game.

They shut out Grenada 4-0 at home. The first round of playoffs will start Monday and Tuesday. As of yesterday before the Grenada game, South Panola was in first place in the district.
