Barron Mack Rotenberry


Barron Mack “Mackie” Rotenberry, 56, died Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at Baptist Hospital- Desoto.

Services will be held today at 1 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Larry Kilgore and Dr. Paul Middleton officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. Wells Funeral Home has charge.

Mr. Rotenberry was born to Doyle “Mack” McCullar and Shirley Jean Turner Rotenberry in Marks, on June 15, 1957. He had worked as a farm manager for Self and Company of Marks and later was the owner and operator of H & L Trucking Company.

He attended Calvary Baptist Church, Batesville. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was an enthusiastic Ole Miss football fan.

Survivors include: his wife of 33 years, Betty McCullar Rotenberry of Batesville; two daughters, Holly Rotenberry (fiance’, Jordan Bryant) and Liz Rotenberry Downs (Justin) also of Batesville; his mother, Shirley Turner Rotenberry of Batesville; two sisters, Sissy Rotenberry (Lamar) Johnson of Courtland and Lisa Gail Rotenberry (Paige) Hawkins of Batesville; one brother, Clinton Doyle (Ashley) Rotenberry also of Batesville; two granddaughters, Lacey Beth and Morgan Downs.
