MYRTLE — Linda Kay Polk Howell, 47, died Sunday, June 9, 2013.
Services along with visitation will be held Saturday, June 15 from 11 a.m. – noon at Serenity Funeral Home in New Albany. Serenity Funeral Home has charge.
Howell, born June 9, 1966, in Drew to the late Sammie Lee Polk and Bobbie Jean Friday Polk, was employed with Union County Health and Rehab.
Survivors include: her husband, Christopher Howell of Myrtle; five children, Samantha Polk and Delisha Polk of Tupelo, Ashley Johnson of New Albany, Nickalos McClellan of Batesville and Joe McClennen of Hattiesburg; her siblings, Robert Hawkins of Oxford and six grandchildren.
George B. Odom, 73, died Sunday, June 9, 2013, at Landmark Hospital in Columbia, Ohio.
Services will be held Thursday, June 13 at Wells Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Todd Pittman will officiate. Burial will be in Forrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home.
Odom, born July 4, 1939, in Osceola, Ark., was a member of Lovejoy United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne Martin Odom.
Survivors include: two daughters, Mary Elizabeth Hernandezrendon and Dottie Kittie Parker, both of Columbia, Mo.; one son, George Berry Odom Jr. of Kennet, Mo.; one step-daughter, Jackie Martin of Ft. Smith, Ark.; step-son, Teddy Martin of Southaven and 14 grandchildren.
MARKS — June Sneed, 72, died Monday, June 3, 2013.
Services were held Saturday at Kimbro Funeral Home. Kimbro Funeral Home had charge.
Sneed was a member of West Marks Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Buford and Ola Brasher.
Survivors include: three daughters, Tanya Sullivan of Hernando, Rhonda Daney of Marks and Jennifer Tharp of Southaven; two sons, Bill Sneed of Perry, Ark. and Brian Sneed of Marks; two sisters, Loretta Morris of Clarksdale and Janie Sidie of Brandon; two brothers, Gay Brasher of Hamilton, Ala. and Mike Brasher of Clarksdale; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to The West Clinic in Memphis.
