Johnson, who was behind the wheel, was struck five times by a nine-millimeter pistol, said Panola sheriff’s investigator Bill McGee.

The shooting occurred at Porter’s home at 542 Ernest Pratcher Road east of Como.

Three children were in the van at the same time and another person was standing next to it, which led to the five counts, McGee explained.

Despite the number of gunshot wounds, Johnson’s condition was not life threatening. He was treated at The Med in Memphis and was released two days later, McGee said.
