Flip Phillips-judicial election

Batesville attorney Richard (Flip) Phillips will face Josiah Dennis Coleman of Toccopola for the Mississippi Supreme Court Justice District Three, Position Three spot up for grabs on this year’s general election ballot in the November 6, 2012 election.
Friday, May 11 was the qualifying deadline for non-partisan judicial offices according to Pamela Weaver with the Mississippi Secretary of State’s Office.
The position will be open as current Justice George C. Carlson, also of Batesville, announced his retirement last November at the end of his six-year term this year.
Coleman is associated with Hickman Goza & Spragins, PLLC in Oxford while Phillips is Associated with Smith Phillips Mitchell, Scott & Nowak LLP in Batesville.
