The South Panola Lady Tiger’s slow pitch softball team edged past the Tupelo Lady Golden Wave 11-9 in district action Tuesday night to keep a 6-0 perfect record.
Amanda Ivy led the team hitting three doubles and scoring two runs. Christa Brown followed with two singles and two runs. Destine Brandon scored one run after hitting a single and a double.
Haley Reid hit two singles scoring one run. Marla Rudd and Crystal Contreras each singled and scored one run.
Also scoring runs were Lauren Calvert, Lindsey Calvert and Diamond Browning.
The Lady Tigers had 12 hits while the Lady Golden Wave had 12.
South Panola was back in action last night hosting the Independence Lady Wildcats in non-district action.
The Lady Tigers will be on the road next week for three district games.
Tuesday, the Lady Tigers will travel to Columbus for a district double header and next Thursday to Grenada. Games start at 4 p.m.
