The advertisement for Panola County Circuit Clerk candidate Melissa Meek-Phelps was inadvertently omitted from the Friday, August 19 edition.

Meek-Phelps is seeking the Democratic nomination in the primary runoff election next Tuesday, August 23.

“We regret and apologize for this mistake,” Panolian publisher John Howell said. “It is embarrassing for the newspaper.”

“Ms. Meek-Phelps has been graciously understanding of the omission,” Managing Editor Rupert Howell said.
