IBERIA, Mo. – Amy Marie Boback, formerly of Panola, died Tuesday, August 9, 2011, at her residence.

Memorial services will be held today at 6 p.m. at Medlock Methodist Church in Canaan, Miss.

Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home of Iberia has charge of arrangements.

Boback was born March 25, 1945, to the late Claude and Dovie Jones Stockton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew George Boback Jr.

Survivors include: Andrew George Boback III of Hanahan, S.C. and Ronald Boback of Summerville, S.C.; two daughters, Karen Boback and Suerona Boback, both of Iberia; three sisters, Geraldine, Jane and Eula;  nine grandchildren and two great-grandchilden.

COMO – Meri June Brewer, 52, died August 11, 2011, at North Oak Regional Medical Center in Senatobia.  

Memorial services will be held today at  6 p.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church.  The family request that memorial contributions be made to Ebenezer Baptist Church.  Ray-Nowell Funeral Home of Senatobia is in charge of arrangements.

Brewer was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Senatobia.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Martha Beck Massengill.

Survivors include: three sons, Daniel Brewer of Como, Lee Massengill of Ripley, and Clint Brewer of Como; one sister, Gina Massengill of Selmer, Tenn; her father, M.J. Massengill of Adamsville, Tenn. and two grandchildren.

BATESVILLE – Ben Dulin, 68, died Friday, August 5, 2011, at his residence.

Memorial services were held Monday, August 8, at Wells Funeral Home.

Dulin, born April 18, in Oxford, to the late Bill and Georgia Gant Dulin, was the owner of Dulin’s Body Shop in Sardis. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include: his wife, Bonnie Darby Dulin of Batesville; four sons, Jamie Appleton and his wife, Betty, Len Appleton, Ronnie Dulin and his wife, Laura and Joey Dulin and his wife Crystal, all of Batesville; four sisters, Annette Dulin Durham of Sardis, Elizabeth Dulin Parrish of Belzoni, Mary Jane Dulin Appleton of Batesville and Ruth Ann Dulin Woodall of Senatobia; six brothers, Whit Dulin, Ike Dulin, Eddie Ray Dulin and David Dulin, all of Batesville, Wayne Dulin of Sardis and Don Dulin of Sevierville, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

OAKLAND – Bunner Ray McElhaney, 59, died Sunday, August 14, 2011, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Willow Spring Assembly of God in Enid. Visitation will be held from noon until service time. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery. Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale has charge.

McElhaney, born to the late Charles and Martha Louise Kendall McElhaney, was a member of Willow Springs Assembly of God.

Survivors include: five daughters, Misty Michelle McElhaney of Meridian, Sabrina McElhaney of Batesville, Charlotte McElhaney and Latonya McElhaney, both of Bruce and Veronica McElhaney of San Diego; two sisters, Treasa Kay Riggenbauch of Oakland and Jerry Gail Jones of Pope and four grandchildren.

OAKLAND –Raymond R. Miller, 69, died Thursday, August 11, 2011, at the Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo.

Services were held Saturday at Enid Lake Baptist Church. Rev. Lester Tankersley officiated. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery in Clarksdale. Wells Funeral Home had charge.

Miller, born Feb. 14, 1942, to Leroy Percy and Linda Virginia Martin Miller, in Randolph, was a truck driver for Graeber Brothers for 32 years and also served in the United States Air Force. He was a member of Enid Lake Baptist Church.

Survivors include: his wife, Irma Kay Smith Miller; one daughter, Donna Lynn Miller Willard of Clarksdale; two sisters, Reba Miller Biehslick of Fulton, Ky., Doris Miller Bayless of Penscacola, Fla.; two brothers, Ralph Miller of Batesville, Ark., Billy Miller of Coyners, Ga.; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

JACKSONVILLE, N.C.— Christopher George Campbell of Jacksonville, North Carolina, nephew of Lloyd Campbell of Batesville, was killed along with fellow comrades in Wardack province, Afghanistan August 6.

The helicopter carrying the 33-year-old petty officer first class was shot down over eastern Afghanistan, killing him and 29 other American troops.

Burial will be  in Arlington National Cemetery on August 26 with memorial services in Virginia Beach, Virginia at Holloman-Brown Funeral Home and White Oak High School, where he graduated in 1993, in Jacksonville, N.C. August 20, at 4 p.m.

Petty Officer Campbell enlisted in the Navy in November of 1996 and after intensive training to became a Navy SEAL and was first stationed on the west coast and then to Key West, Florida.

He later became an east coast based SEAL completing numerous deployments in support of the Global War on Terrorism and was a highly decorated combat veteran with awards including the Bronze Star with Valor (2), Joint Service Commendation and Achievement Medals, Purple Heart, and numerous other individual and unit medals.

Survivors other than his uncle include his wife, Angelina, daughter, Samantha; parents, Larry and Diane Campbell; and sister, Cindy.

If he were killed in the line of duty Campbell requested in his will for donations to be made in his memory to the Wounded Warrior Project.
