Karate competes in final spring tournament

Members of the Batesville Karate Club and the Quitman County Martial Arts attended the Final Tournament of the Southern Martial Arts Spring series “Heavy Hitters 2011”, in Madison on May 14.  There were approximately 125 competitors in forms, sparring and weapons.

Members from the Batesville Club  competing include: Sheenah McCollins with a two in forms and a two in sparring and Jordan McColins with a two in forms and two in sparring.

From the Quitman County Martial Arts was Russell Furr, Jr. with a one in forms and weapons and a 2 in sparring.
