Readers invited to have hand in stories

The Panolian staff is seeking local gardeners and past J.P. Hudson ball players for upcoming specials.

Gardeners and handymen (and handywomen) are invited to share their tips and advice for a Home and Garden Section that will publish March 25.

The name of the “tipper” will be included in the special section.

Former J.P. Hudson players are invited to share their memories, and dig out old team photos, for the spring issue of Batesville Magazine.

The spring issue of Batesville Magazine, the sixth issue, is scheduled to be distributed April 29.

Readers who can help with either of these special publications should contact Billy Davis at The Panolian, 563-4591.

He can also be reached by e-mail at billyd@panolian.com.

The J.P. Hudson story will also include history of the park’s namesake.

The newspaper is also preparing a special section devoted to current players in J.P. Hudson Park’s Little League program. That section will be included in the April 15 edition of The Panolian.

Parents and grandparents who want to highlight  their J.P. ballplayer can purchase a “good luck/congratulations” ad for a small fee.

Display advertisements for all three special publications may be placed by contacting Dianne Medley or Amy Geiger at The Panolian, 563-4591.
