Tigers score big in road wins – SP bests C’dale 10-2, blanks Water Valley 11-0

South Panola ran its winning streak to four games in a row with two lopsided road wins last week to improve to 6-1 on the season.
The Tigers eased past Clarksdale 10-2 on Thursday, Feb. 29 followed by a 11-0 blanking of Water Valley in five innings Saturday, March, 2.

Carlos Robinson drove in three runs as the Tigers put up a five-run third inning to lead 9-0. Landon Roberts and Eli Raines added two RBI’s each while Daniel Moore chipped in with two singles and a run driven in.
Camron Moore also provided two singles and two stolen bases. Will Daleke and Jamarion Ingram contributed with singles. Owen Roebuck also added one RBI while Dalton Mcgee scored three runs while Charlie Bowlin plated one run. Landon Dickinson limited Water Valley two three hits with eight strikeouts to earn the pitching win.

Taylor Anderson, Carlos Robinson, Owen Roebuck and Landon Dickinson drove in two runs each to spark the Tiger victory. Robinson led the way at the plate with three singles followed by Owen Roebuck and Daniel Moore with two singles.
Janario Humphrey and Landon Roberts provided singles with Eli Raines and Michael Johnson contributing an RBI. Holden Daleke and Camron Moore scored one run.
Johnson scattered four hits with three walks and five strikeouts over five innings to pick up the pitching win. Anson Bright closed out the game with two innings of relief, surrendering two unearned runs with three walks and four strikeouts.
South Panola visits DeSoto Central Thursday before hosting Oxford this Friday.
