Who’s got the cutest pet in Panola County? Is your peek-a-poo precious? Does your Siamese sizzle? Is your turtle terrific?
The Panolian is teaming with the Panola County Humane Society in a fun contest to give pet owners the chance to show off their critters and raise funds for the PCHS.
Pet owners are invited to submit a photo of their pet by bringing it or mailing it to The Panolian, 363 Highway 51 North, Batesville, MS 38606. An entry from is published on Page A14 of today’s newspaper. Along with the photo, entrants should submit a $10 entry fee, which goes to the Humane Society.
All pet photos will be published in The Panolian on April 6 and April 9. Readers will be asked to cast their votes for the Cutest Pet in Panola County. Votes cost 25 cents each, with the proceeds also donated to the Humane Society. The pet that receives the most votes wins.
A prize package also goes to the winner.
“We’re pleased to be able to offer proud pet owners the opportunity to share their photos with our readers and to raise money for the hard-working Humane Society at the same time,” Panolian editor Rupert Howell said.
