ND vs. West Memphis

The North Delta boys basketball team out-scored West Memphis 22-15 in the fourth quarter to take over second place in the District 1-AA standings with a 59-57 victory over the Black Knights.
With the victory, North Delta improves to 5-2 in district play and 12-7 overall while West Memphis falls into third place with a 4-3 district record and 12-6 on the season.
In varsity girls action, Linsey Hebert’s 17 points lifted the Lady Green Wave to a 48-44 win over the Black Knights. Lauren Kimzey added 10 points as North Delta upped their record to 18-10 and 5-2 in district play.
Madison Greenlee contributed with nine points, six steals and five assists while Kourtney Norris was force on the defensive side of the ball as the sophomore pulled down 10 rebounds and blocked five shots to go along with five points. Sara Waldrip had a game-high 12 rebounds and three points while Laci DuBravec chipped in with four points.
The North Delta Junior High girls continued on their winning ways with a 46-19 thumping of West Memphis as Charla Shea Darby led the way with 13 points and three steals. Callie Blake Masterson followed with nine points, five assists and four steals. Erin Snider added six points while Hastings Neal dished out four assists and five points.
Other scorers included, Anna Lloyd with four points, Jordan Pullen with three while Julianna Morrow, Claire Gant and Courtney DuBravec all had two points each.
North Delta hosts Memphis Home Education School today at 4 p.m. to open up a five-game homestand. The Green Wave will then take on Delta Saturday starting a 2 p.m with a pair of junior high contests.
