Golf team shot 181 at Mallard Pointe

History was made as the South Panola Girls golf team captured the program’s first ever district championship Monday, April 10, at Mallard Pointe Golf Course in Sardis.

Sophomore Isabel Marquez shot a low round of 77 to guide the Tigers to a team low 181. 

Teammate Meredith Cossy garnered a tie for fifth place with a personal best round of 104.  

The South Panola boys placed fourth overall with John Braxton Jones leading the way with a score of 82. Both teams qualified for the 6A State Tournament.
