William Lewis Clark Sr.

HOLLY SPRINGS­— William Lewis Clark Sr., 68, died Wednesday, November 4, 2009, at his residence.

Services were Saturday at Dickins Funeral Home. Kevin Crofford officiated. Burial was in Magnolia Cemetery. Dickins Funeral Home had charge.

Clark, born Feb. 19, 1941, to the late Jim Clark and Sewell Levelt Clark, was a carpenter.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lee Clark.

Survivors include: one son, William Lewis Clark of Sardis; one daughter, Sandra Faye White of Batesville; two brothers, William Alton Clark and Raymond Dudley Clark, both of Batesville; three sisters, Mary Ruth Reichert and Sandra Kay Harris, both of Batesville and Linda Dianne Patton of Courtland; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Dean Roch Stoddard

SARDIS­— Dean Roch Stoddard, 90, died Saturday, October 31, 2009, at the Sardis Community Nursing Home.

Services were Wednesday at Lambert Cemetery. Rev. John Shackleford officiated. Kimbro Funeral Home had charge.

Stoddard, born Dec. 3, 1918, was a Baptist and a homemaker.

Survivors include: two sons, Tom Stoddard of Jackson and Bobby Stoddard of Montgomery, Ala.; one sister, Virgie Roch of Sturgis; six grandchildren and 10 grandchildren.

Robert Dale Stiles

COMO­— Robert Dale Stiles, 49, died Saturday, November 7, 2009, at his residence.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. Ray-Nowell Funeral Home has charge.

Stiles, born March 28, 1960, to Gay Corzine Stiles of Como and the late Herman Leon Stiles, was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and a member of the American Hunting Club. He was a painter.

Survivors along with his mother, include: one daughter, Mitzie LaPlante of Memphis; two sisters, Barbara Manuel of Como and Teresa Gay Grey of Etowah, N.C.; two brothers, Joseph Stiles of Como and Steve Stiles of Sardis and three grandchildren.

Dorothy May Towles Turpin

SARDIS­— Dorothy May Towles Turpin, 97, died Saturday, November 7, 2009, at Tri-Lakes Medical Center.

Services will be held today at 11 a.m. at Hebron Baptist Church. Terry Tribble will officiate. Burial will be in Hebron Cemetery. Dickins Funeral Home has charge.

Turpin, born Sept. 30, 1912, to the late Swift Towles and Allie Bishop Towles, was a homemaker.  She played the piano for many years at Hebron Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Roy Turpin.

Survivors include: one son, Dan Roy Turpin of Sardis; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.

Richard Lee Tillman

SARDIS­— Richard Lee Tillman, 51, died Wednesday, November 4, 2009, at Tri-Lakes Medical Center.

Services were Saturday at Wells Funeral Home. Burial was in Longtown Cemetery in Crenshaw. Wells Funeral Home had charge.

Tillman, born Jan. 25, 1958, in Sardis, was a Heating and Air technician for Coker Heating and Air, and was also a member of Crenshaw Church of God.

Survivors include:  his wife, Annette Paige Tillman of Sardis; two daughters, Vickie Coleman of Coldwater, Tonia Wright of Sardis; two sons, Louis Tillman of and Richard Scott Caruthers, both of Sardis; mother, Helen Sanders Osborn and step-father James Osborn of Sardis; father, Roy Lee Tillman and step-mother, Bonnie Tillman of Strayhorn; three sisters, Peggy Hernandez of Askew, Judy Sexton and Peggy Manues, both of Strayhorn; seven brothers, Jimmy Tillman, Larry Tillman and Terry Tillman, all of Crenshaw, R.L. Tillman, Richard Tillman, Ricky Sexton and Danny Tillman, all of Strayhorn and seven grandchildren.
