Lonnie “Ray” McClenic, Jr., 57, of Courtland, passed away Thursday, Oct. 27, 2022 at his home.

The family will receive friends Monday, Oct. 31, 2022, from noon until 2 p.m. with the funeral service immediately following, all at Courtland Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Forrest Memorial Park.

Ray was born Nov. 2, 1964, in Marks,  and was a faithful member of Courtland Baptist Church. He loved bass fishing with a passion and enjoyed every minute he got to spend doing it.

Ray was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Gale McClenic, and his sister, Barbara Ann “Sissy” Swindle. Survivors include his father, Lonnie Ray McClenic, Sr., of Courtland, two sons, Brandon McClenic (Jennifer), of Courtland,  and Steven McClenic (Kristin), of Batesville,  as well as four grandchildren, Hunter McClenic, Fisher McClenic, Conner McClenic, and Eli McClenic.
