Betty Campbell Moore, 85

Betty Campbell Moore,  85, passed away Sunday morning, Nov. 28, 2021, at the Sardis Nursing Home. She was the widow of the late Jolly Mack Moore.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1,  in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the interment to follow at Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at noon.

Betty was born Nov. 25, 1936, in Panola County, to the late James Jefferson and Mabel Lois Griffis Campbell. She was a member of the First Baptist Church where she was a longtime nursery worker. Throughout her working career, Betty worked at the Panola County Courthouse, Batesville Livestock and Sale Barn, Sealtest Milk and finished her career as a bookkeeper for Batesville Concrete, now MMC, in Batesville.

Her memory will be cherished most by her two daughters, Debbie Parker (Keith) of Batesville, Jan Moore of Batesville; two sons, Barry Moore (Laura) of Batesville, and Mike Moore (Danielle) of Batesville; sister, Voncille Campbell Tarver of Oxford; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by five sisters, Louise Finch, Dorothy Briley, Elizabeth Bolton, Robbie Hardy, Jeffie Campbell and two brothers, Sammy Campbell and James Douglas Campbell.
