Edie Jenkins, 48, passed away peacefully Tuesday afternoon, May 11, 2021, after a long battle with cancer at the Baptist Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services were Thursday, May 13, in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with interment  at Forrest Memorial Park. The family received friends two hours prior to the service beginning at noon.

Edie was born on Jan. 29, 1973, in Memphis. She attended the Tennessee Academy of Cosmetology and worked as a hair stylist at Cut Above Styling Salon. When she was not working, she enjoyed traveling with her husband, Bill. Together they enjoyed riding motorcycles across the country, going to New Orleans, and riding the pontoon boat on Enid Lake.

The family left behind to cherish her sweet spirit include her husband, Bill Jenkins of Water Valley; one daughter, Abby Elizabeth Rose of Arkansas; her mother, Barbara Jean Rucker of Memphis; Uncle, Russell Edwards Rucker and wife Jackie; one nephew, Daniel Rucker; her special family, Angela Jenkins Adams of Water Valley, Sandy Smith of Batesville,  JoAnn Keel of Hernando,  and Bobbie Hughes of Water Valley.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Harold Anderson Rucker and Edith Emogene Rucker; and one aunt, Sharon Elaine Smith.
