The Batesville Christmas Parade, scheduled for tonight, has been cancelled due to rain. Lions Club parade chairman Jerry Lightsey said the event would not be rescheduled, due to prior commitments of the bands and other groups involved.

Lightsey did, however, announce the date of the 2009 Batesville Christmas Parade: Tuesday, December 8.
